Interdisciplinary PhD in Social Studies
Before joining MISR, Jonathan was working at the National Curriculum Development Centre, Kyambogo as a Curriculum Specialist for Music and Cultural Studies. He graduated from the University of Catania in Italy with a Masters Degree in Economics and Administration of Cultural Heritage (2008-2009). He studied Social Anthropology and Literature from Makerere University (2003-2006). His research interest is on popular Arts and Culture and their effects on the making of a ‘Modern Tradition’ in Uganda. He is considering a wide range of signifying practices like the Media, Theatre, Education, Religious display and Politics.
