Makerere Institute of Social Research is honoured and proud to announce that on Wednesday, July 25 2018, Mr Sseremba successfully completed his PhD defence.
Yahya’s Thesis Title: The State and the Puzzle of Tribe: Rethinking Mass Violence in Uganda’s Rwenzori Area.
His advisors were Prof. Mahmood Mamdani (Supervisor), Dr Lyn Ossome and Dr Samson Bezabeh (Doctoral Committee members). His opponent was Prof. Suren Pillay, acting Director and Senior Researcher, University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
