Interdisciplinary PhD in Social Studies
As soon as he obtained his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Asmara (2002 - 2007), Alamin started working with the Social Studies Research Unit in the Research and Documentation Center (2008 - 2013) and as a freelance journalist for both the Ministry of Information of the State of Eritrea (2001- 2013) and the media department of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (2007 - 2012).

His research interest is centered around identity politics focusing on ethnic identities and nationalism.
