My main point is going to be this: there is a history to organized crime, and there is a politics to it.  We need to be aware of both.

History

Organized crime became a global problem during the Cold War.  Why? 

Makerere Institute of Social Research in collaboration with the Department of Literature, Makerere University; in association with Fountain publishers limited will hold a public symposium on the late Chinua Achebe on Saturday, 06 April 2013.
