Launch of the 'Everyday Violence and Environmental Change in Uganda' Project

The Director of Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR) warmly invites you to a public seminar marking the launch of the Everyday Violence and Environmental Change in Uganda (ENVIU) Project, taking place today starting at 9:30 AM.

This seminar aims to introduce the ENVIU project to the academic community at MISR, the University, and beyond, while also engaging the wider Ugandan society. The event will convene scholars, researchers, and practitioners to reflect on the project’s vision, collaborative framework, and its positioning within broader socio-environmental research landscapes.

The programme will feature:

  • Presentations on the history, design, and ambitions of ENVIU

  • Reflections from members of the Advisory Board
