Abstract: The talk looks at the use of the idea of "decolonisation" by the right wing globally; the resulting critique of Decolonial Studies by the Left (as preparing the way for the Right); and my response to both of these, asserting that both right wing appropriations and left wing critiques are misplaced, and reclaiming the decoloniality framework as a valuable resource.
Papers in preparation for the talk are available for pick-up from MISR Library, between 9:00AM - 9:00PM, daily. You can also download from: https://kafila.online/2025/09/
