Alumni

I am a social scientist, educationist, community outreach professional, cultural historian, and motivational speaker. I am student of classical thought with special interest in Socratic, Platonic, and Aristotolian histories of knowledge. I am community of practice adviser with vast skills in community engagement and outreach. I am a theatre for development consultant, skilful in science communication and diplomacy; I am an actor, drama director, playwright, novelist, essayist, and poet. 

Muhamed is a Postdoctoral Fellow with ENVIU. He holds a PhD in Social Studies (2025), an Interdisciplinary MPhil in Social Studies(2022) and Bachelor of Development Studies (2018) all from Makerere University. 

David Ngendo-Tshimba is Research Associate at the Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR). He currently heads the Centre for African Studies at Uganda Martyrs University, where he also Associate Professor in its School of Arts and Social Sciences. David holds an interdisciplinary doctorate in History and Political Studies from MISR of Makerere University.

Joseph Kasule received his Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Social Studies from Makerere University. He is currently a Research Fellow at MISR, where he researches and convenes courses in cultural anthropology. 

Yahya Sseremba is research fellow at Makerere Institute of Social Research, Makerere University.
