Dr. Yosef Sintayehu Jemberie is a postdoctoral fellow at the Makerere Institute of Social Research, Makerere University, in Uganda. Previously, he was a lecturer of history and philosophy at Samara University in Ethiopia. His research areas include history of state formation in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa region, comparative genealogies of political modernity in Africa and beyond, and the Philosophy of humor.
