STELLA NYANZI IS PRESENTING AT THE ‘QUEER IN AFRICA’ HUMANITIES PROGRAM

Stella Nyanzi is participating in the “Queer in Africa: Confronting the Crisis” humanities program organised by the Institute for Humanities in Africa (HUMA) at the University of Cape Town from 29th May to 2nd June
2014.

She is the guest speaker at the opening of the Arts Exhibition: CRITICALLY QUEER and the Book Launch of “Reclaiming Afrikan: Queer Perspectives on Sexual and Gender Identities” edited by Zethu Matebeni, on 29th May 2014.

She will discuss her book chapter “Queering Queer Africa” on 31st May 2014 when the book is discussed at the Centre for African Studies Gallery.

Lastly, she will participate in a panel discussing the legal regime governing sexualities in Africa on 2nd June 2014 at the HUMA Seminar Room.
