George Opio

George Opio holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology from Makerere University. Prior to joining MISR as a PhD student, he served as alecturer in the department of psychology in Gulu university for 10 years, he was also involved in numerous research projects as aresearch fellow in Northen Uganda which included among Others UNICEF peace building Education and advocacy, Save the children I am learning project, Thrive, War affected youth in Northern Uganda, Homosexuality and Human rights in Uganda. My PhD concentration is on Historical studies and my prospective doctoral research project is on “Sustainability of traditional justice mechanisms of conflict resolution and post conflict reconstruction, acomparison between Northern Uganda and Rwanda scenarios in relation to other justice systems such as Amnesty and International criminal court”.
