Joseph Kasule is a PhD Fellow at MISR. He holds a B.A in Political Science (International Relations) of Makerere University and a Master of Laws in International Law and Human Rights of Coventry University in the U.K. Before joining MISR was a lecturer in international relations with a particular bias in public international law, international human rights law, security studies and conflict and peace studies at Cavendish University Uganda. Published an article entitled “The Restrictive Immunity Doctrine under the 2004 U.N Convention on Jurisdictional Immunities of states and their Property: the Need for a Human Rights Protocol?” was also Editor of the Cavendish University Journal. Research interests include but are not limited to: state consolidation, society justice, transitional justice during conflict resolution and management; and peace studies.
