YONAS ASHINE DEMISSE

Yonas Ashine Demisse is now a PhD candidate at Makerere Institute of social Research (MISR). He got his first degrees in History from Mekele University and in Political Science and International Relations from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He joined the Department of PSIR as a lecturer after he acquired his MA in International Relations from the DPSIR. He has served as a lecturer in the Department since 2010. His research interest focuses on issues of state-society relations mainly on the politics of identity, history and memory.
