Dr. Stella Nyanzi is attending the African Peacebuilding Network’s Training Workshop II hosted by the International Law and Policy Institute in Arusha, Tanzania from 26th – 28th January 2015. Under the title ‘Gaps in the Theory and Practice of Gendering Peace Programs in Africa,’ she is presenting preliminary findings from her ethnographic research about the absences of and silences about male sexual violence during conflict, within available peace-building initiatives at the international, regional and local levels. This workshop brings together eminent scholars and peace implementers, as well as other post-doctoral grantees from eight African countries.
